In a sunny desert area on Peru's North coast, the Piura Blanco cacao thrives in the expansive Chulucanas valley in Piura. The cacao plantations are around 16 years old, and about 35% of each taco pod contains white beans. These white are highly prized and are known as "Piura's Jewel."
