$ 12.00
Hybrid Cacao is cultivated in the high-altitude forests, known as "rupa rupa," on the eastern slopes of the Andres Mountains in the heart of Peru, specifically in the city of Tingo Maria, which is part of the Huánuco department. This region experiences a topical climate with substantial rainfall and rugged terrain. The forests in this area are home to an incredible diversity of wildlife, including over 1,500 bird species, more than 2 million types of insects, and over 2,000 species of fish. Cloud Forests with trees that generate shade create the ideal conditions for cultivating the variety of cocoa beans grown by the Alto Huallaga Cooperative.
