Castronovo's handcrafted this peppermint bark by starting with a layer of our Zorzal, Dominican Republic 70% bean-to-bar dark chocolate on the bottom and layer it with peppermint-flavored white chocolate on top. Then, they sprinkle it with organic crushed candy cane that is naturally colored with beet juice rather than dye. This year, they hand-decorated the peppermint bark with a beautiful dark chocolate swirl design, making each piece a little work of art with magnificent taste. The beautiful sailfish Santa on each box is watercolor artwork from my daughter.
