Domori - Trinitario 70% Dark Chocolate - Tanzania
$ 9.50
Tanzania's Trinitario cacao is harvested by the Kokoa Kamili cooperative, committed to raising the quality of cacao in its own country. In a small region of Tanzania, Domori has selected extraordinary cacao varieties with a bold character, whose aromatic profile is dominated by an immediate, primary cacao note, accompanied by delicate aromatic nuances.
Trinitario is an aromatic cacao variety accounting for roughly 8% of the world's cacao harvest, born from the hybridization of Criollo and Forastero: from this union it combines the aromatic and sensory character of the former with the vigor and high yield of the latter. Domori sources this precious variety from plantations spanning Latin America and Africa (Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Madagascar and Tanzania), transforming the beans every day through the shortest, purest recipe in whole world.
Trinitario cacao from the Kilombero Valley, in Tanzania's Morogoro region, in the village of Mbingu bordering Udzungwa Mountains National Park, about ten hours from Dar es Salaam. Harvested by the Kokoa Kamili cooperative, committed to raising the quality of Tanzanian cacao through sustainable farming practices and an ethical supply chain supporting local producers.
