Kasama Chocolate - "Horchatte" Horchata White Chocolate bar
$ 17.00
Created in partnership with Granville Island, Alimentaria Mexicana & El Cafecito, this limited-edition bar pays tribute to horchata—a classic Mexican beverage rooted in family gatherings, festivals, and everyday rituals.
Developed with Chef Martin Vargas, the recipe blends cacao butter, milk, rice flour, organic Mexican cinnamon, and roasted coffee beans from Agro Roasters in Vancouver. The result is a white chocolate both delicate and decadent, with layers of cream, spice, and coffee that evoke the warmth of shared moments and the richness of heritage.
The beautiful cover was art directed and illustrated by talented Mexico-based artist Esther Aguirre | Instagram: @buquebuque
Horchata is a much-loved Mexican drink traditionally made with rice and cinnamon — creamy, lightly sweet and warmly spiced. Horchatte turns it into a white chocolate: cacao butter, milk and rice flour for that creamy, rice-y body, organic Mexican cinnamon and vanilla for spice, and roasted coffee beans from Agro Roasters in Vancouver for a latte-like finish.
