The cacao in this bar hails from the Guatuso canton in northern Costa Rica. This cacao is distributed by Nahua Cacao, a central fermentary who promotes and sources premium quality cacao from indigenous communities in northern Costa Rica. They assist local farmers with all facets of their business while preserving the natural environment of the region. Like all Eigen Chocolates this bar is made with ethically traded cacao, sugar certified by the regenerative organic alliance, and compostable packaging.
