Just like their dark chocolate version, the cacao in this 55% Milk Chocolate bar hails from the Guatuso canton in northern Costa Rica. The addition of milk powder really transforms this cacao and we think it may be our favorite milk chocolate. This cacao is distributed by Nahua Cacao, a central fermentary who promotes and sources premium quality cacao from indigenous communities in northern Costa Rica. They assist local farmers with all facets of their business while preserving the natural environment of the region. Like all Eigen Chocolates this bar is made with ethically traded cacao, sugar certified by the regenerative organic alliance, and compostable packaging.
