This chocolate bar is made from rare cacao that grows deep in the Amazon rainforest at a remote location, believed to be the birthplace of cacao. Indigenous people trek into the jungle to harvest the wild cacao. During the rainy season, this area is inaccessible, so all cacao transport happens during the dry season. Cacao beans travel by water on a two-day canoe trip to the nearest road or by land on a treacherous day-long 4x4 expedition.
